Industrial Engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with all systems that transform resources such as machinery, manpower, raw materials, information, energy and money into products and services. Industrial Engineering deals with the process from the design, development, improvement and operation of systems consisting of scarce resources such as human, time, money and raw materials. The main purpose of Industrial Engineering is to increase efficiency and productivity by using various scientific methods at every stage of the development of these systems.
The aim of our department; To train Industrial Engineers who will meet the needs of the industry, especially the aviation sector, by conducting world-class education and research. Our students will be supported by the infrastructure of our university foundation in the field of aviation and space and sectoral practices. The aim of the Industrial Engineering undergraduate program is to train individuals who have the ability to think systematically, apply what they have learned to the problems they encounter in daily life and solve these problems, are equipped with basic Industrial Engineering knowledge and follow the developments in their field. In addition, it is to gain future scientists in Industrial Engineering who can make original, sustainable and original studies, as well as individuals who gain the knowledge and experience they will use in their professions, are entrepreneurial, self-confident, produce information and can transfer this information to other individuals. Our main strategic goals are to train Industrial Engineers who provide the competencies required by Industrial Engineering, who can communicate rationally and meaningfully with other engineering disciplines that they will work with, who can benefit from the opportunities offered by the current information world and who can keep up with this speed.
The Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association, with its educational staff consisting of respected academicians in their own field and its well-equipped laboratory infrastructure, has set itself the goal of being among the respected research institutions in our country and in the world.
